Michael Igo, PE, LEED AP

Principal

Mike founded Aqueous Consultants in 2014 and 20+ years of engineering experience in water resources. As a self-proclaimed “right-brained engineer”, his dual love of science and graphics resonates with clients and other design professionals.  His unique education with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and M.S. in Civil Engineering lends to design of both mechanical (irrigation, pumps, controls) and civil engineering systems (ponds, tanks, drainage).  Mike has documented over 100 Water Efficiency credits for LEED, designed and programmed Aqueous’ computer climate model, and has been honored by the American Society of Civil Engineers for his sustainability research.  He has also presented at the American Society of Landscape Architects national conferences and is an active member of the ASLA Water Conservation Professional Practice Network.

Prior to this she worked as a Landscape Designer, designing commercial and residential landscapes. Her responsibilities are designing and laying out irrigation systems, splash pads, fountains and mechanical spaces. She creates graphic design elements for marketing and is the go-to for digital composite images which aid in visualizing completed landscapes.

She has a B.L.A. in Landscape Architecture from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.

Kelly Dalton

Project Designer

Kelly joined the Aqueous team in September 2020 as a Staff Designer. She has a civil design background and has worked in both transportation and geotechnical engineering offices. Some of her previous work includes 3D models that have been used in public discussion forums for transportation engineering projects across the Northeast. Her experience also includes GIS analysis, public communication and outreach, construction administration, and client development.

She has a B.S. in Environmental Design from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Sydney Stanton, EIT

Project Engineer

Sydney joined the Aqueous Team in 2023 as a Project Engineer to assist with Aqueous' Civil Engineering practice and hydrologic modeling. Prior to joining Aqueous, she was a Civil Design Engineer with a focus in stormwater infrastructure modeling and design.

She has a B.S. in Ecological Engineering from Oregon State University.

Patrick Beals

Project Designer

Patrick comes to us from the field of landscape architecture, where he practiced for ten years. His diverse background includes 15 years working and apprenticing in aircraft maintenance, along with fine art. His appreciation for mechanics and aesthetics remains evident in his work today. He enjoys creating infographics with haptic and didactic installations to negotiate the interface between people and their environments. With this research, his continued thesis work has been accepted for publishing through U.C.Berkeley. Outside of work, he can be found working with his hands, restoring and modernizing classic trucks. Patrick is excited to be merging his backgrounds into the systems-thinking field of irrigation in his career with Aqueous.

Patrick has a B.A. in architecture with a minor in studio art from University of Maine at Augusta, a Postgraduate degree in Architecture from Judson University, and an M.L.A. in Landscape Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design.

Enzo Schwartz

Staff Engineer

Enzo joined the Aqueous team in July 2024 as a Staff Engineer to continue to build our civil engineering practice. His background is in geologic engineering with a focus on EPA water quality monitoring and reporting.

He has a B.S. in Geological Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado.
