Aqueous has an immediate opportunity for an entry-level Staff Engineer or Staff Designer with a strong interest in climate resiliency, water harvesting, water resource development, irrigation, and water feature design. Interested candidates can email their resumes to info@aqueous.net.
Responsibilities
Supporting the drafting and designing of project plans, reports, and specifications.
Professionally interacting with clients.
Supporting the development of consulting reports used in water master planning, feasibility studies, and decision-making.
Performing calculations and advanced design related to water harvesting tank system sizing, pump system, irrigation systems, and water feature.
Learning irrigation and water systems via design and/or site visits.
Developing familiarity with government, client, and industry codes, regulations, and standards.
Additional responsibilities and opportunities include: developing a diverse skill set; solving problems creatively; and adjusting to a fast-paced design schedule by assisting a long-standing design team.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, or related field.
Extensive use of AutoCAD is required.
0-3 years of applicable professional experience (Co-Op or Professional).
Knowledge and familiarity with design processes.
Proficient at applying site plan design and engineering principles to develop effective solutions related to water.
Desire to acquire and apply new skills and techniques with application to project assignments.
Excellent technical and business writing skills.
EIT or ability to achieve EIT status is desirable.
Team player with a professional, positive attitude.
Some experience with site development, landscape architecture, and civil engineering plan preparation.
Maturity and professionalism to occasionally use the privilege to work from home.
Ability to work well independently and in teams.
