The MGM Springfield in Springfield, Massachusetts is Western Massachusetts’ only resort casino. Aqueous provided irrigation design and water resource engineering services for the casino’s plantings. Aqueous also designed the rainwater harvesting system, an auto-filtration system for the harvested rainwater, and provided LEED documentation. Aqueous’ design resulted in a 100% reduction of potable water at the site. The casino opened to the public in August 2018 and was awarded the 2019 Gold Winner for Engineering Excellence by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts.
