Short Beach Park and Golf Course

Stratford, Connecticut

Aqueous worked with the Stratford Parks Department and their architect to design a new irrigation system and pump station for the Short Beach Park and Golf Course—100 acres of athletic fields and a 9-hole municipal course, both built on a former landfill. This project presented a number of unique challenges including designing the irrigation system to avoid contamination, working with the Town and State to address permitting requirements for working within a former landfill and near wetlands, and completing construction during the COVID-19 pandemic. Construction was completed in Spring 2020.
