John W. Olver Design Building at UMass

Amherst, Massachusetts

Aqueous was retained to design the irrigation system and green roof and to provide construction administration services for the 87,500-square foot John W. Olver Design Building at UMass. Building elements included an outdoor work area, test gardens, and bioswales. The project was a LEED Gold project with a strong focus on stormwater management. The project was completed in January 2017 and was awarded a Merit Award in 2018 by the Boston Society of Landscape Architects and the Society for College and University Planning.
